That is why I can agree with most of the list, but I would not put SWTOR under STO. I think it largely boils down to opinion, yes. Honestly, overall this list seems to underscore how unhealthy the genre is as a whole-a couple titles that have been around forever and thus have tremendous inertia on their side, and then a lot more than are probably around because of the IP behind them.

The game is still healthy, but it does appear to be in need of some exercise and perhaps a change in diet. The thing is, this has also been the year of Star Wars monetiztion issues, a controversial server merge, and some odd lulls in updates. I very nearly pulled it from the list, but it squeaked in, largely because it does still appear to be humming right along, and the other major candidates were games that had suffered huge staff layoffs or other calamities.
